   I am so proud to be a Kansas Citian on this day and can't believe I have the privilege to share it with all of you through a microphone.  The Royals have topped the Chiefs.  Missouri has topped Kansas.  Now, 2.5 million of us are all better for it.  I am truly stunned our area gets so many things right now after spending decades watching cheap owners repaint and spend money on useless renovations.  Hello Super Bowl!  Hello Crown Center's golden era.  It's time to shut up the complaining as the Royals did the unthinkable.  The took less money than Kansas offered to stay in KC and do something great for our city.  Quite a change from the David Glass and Lamar Hunt eras.  Wow.
   A tip of the cap to Don Hall and the Hall family as it sounds like this was pretty much their idea.  It keeps their family's legacy project and helps them to continue something we love. Hallmark cards are about connection with friends and family and Hallmark Channel is one of the last places that's truly good, old fashioned family programming from an age gone by.  You see, some things are just too important to change.  Way to go.

   Well, what do you know?  The Royals have a grand plan after all and will reveal it at a news conference Wednesday.  The plan is to build a new stadium at Crown Center and it involves tearing down a bunch of current buildings.  This is not only a great idea to revitalize an important, historic area of KC, it's going to save tax payers billions it would have cost 10-20 years down the road to rebuild the area with a much worse plan than a baseball team.
   The team actually won a game Tuesday night, in the bottom of the 9th, without putting the ball in play.  Crazy. 
   The ceasefire with Iran has been extended and the US negotiators are still in DC.   Trump and Ron DeSantis may be cooking up a plan for the Florida governor's future that will surprise you.
   Virginia dems squeeze one out in a 51-49 vote to change their state from a 6-5 count of congress reps to 10-1.  A current dem in congress quits after getting caught stealing, the UK bans smoking forever and kids sports streaming has become a huge business.

   JD Vance is headed to a negotiation with leader from Iran and it must be the strangest feeling in the world.  I'm not sure we know who will represent Iran at the meeting or if they will even show up.   How do you negotiate with terrorists and which terrorist is in charge?
   It was pure comedy gold when Mayor Q joined Al Sharpton on MSNOW to talk about crime in KC.  You have to hear this slap fest.
   Home schooling is booming as more and more parents don't want their kids in government schools.  And yes, we need to start calling them government schools instead of the old term.
   Apple is the biggest company in the world and their CEO the last 15 years, Tim Cook, has decided to step down in September.  This is big news in the tech industry and big news in the corporate world.
   The Royals do it again blowing one in epic fashion Monday night... and it's almost impossible to describe how impossible it was to lose this game.  They are so toast.
   The Chiefs have the 9th pick in the draft Thursday but their overall position is actually higher than that.  I'll explain.  The Washington Commanders have a new logo and it may be the start of bringing back their name Redskins.  Lee's Summit West forfeits every football game from last year and fires three coaches and the PGA Tour ends a pair of tournaments in Hawaii after 56 years.

   It's ok if you want to stick a fork in the Royals as it pretty much looks like they are cooked.  Tied with the Mets for the worst record in baseball at 7-15, they are hanging their heads showing us all there's something more going on.  Manager Matt Quatraro appears to be losing his team and it's so bad Salvy had to go on social media to disagree with his skipper.  This is a hot mess for a team that had real expectations.
   Kansas Speedway just keeps delivering the best NASCAR Cup races as Tyler Reddick won a thriller Sunday afternoon.  Reddick has now won FIVE of the nine Cup races this year driving for Michael Jordan's race team.  MJ was at the track and walked across the infield to celebrate with his driver when it was over.  This is so good for the sport and a great day for Kansas Speedway.
   President Trump posted one of our Navy ships working the blockade shot the engine room of an Iranian tanker that would stop heading to Iran.  They had a bad day as we then took over the vessel.
  FIFA is really, really mad at all the democrats in New York and New Jersey as they prepare to host the World Cup.   The St. Louis Cardinals are bullying local businesses by strong arming the city's Board of Aldermen.

   The city council voted 11-1 in favor of approving $600 million for the Royals to build a ballpark at Crown Center and the city will now provide a term sheet and start negotiating.  I'm excited this looks like its over and ready to think about what a new ball game experience will be like.  Owner John Sherman says there are two things the new stadium will have even though the architects hate it.
   Meanwhile, the team is making steam come out of my ears as they blow all three games in detroit in the 8th or 9th inning.  Thursday was the worst.  In fact, I'll say it.  This was the worst, most hideous way to lose imaginable.  Only the Royals.
   Trump was asked about Iran threatening to execute a female protester and he had a one line answer directed at the pope.  You gotta hear this.  
   The governor of Tennessee has signed a resolution changing June from Pride Month to Nuclear Family Month.  His reasoning could be the best thing you hear this week.

   And Tiger Woods lawyers are asking the judge in his DUI case if he'll revoke the subpoena for Tiger's prescription records.  I"m pretty sure you know how podboy feels about that

   It's a topic I'd rather not get into but Pope Leo has forced the hand of this podcaster.  Our whole lives, politicians and the Pope stayed in their respective lanes and didn't cross over and tell each other how to do their jobs.  Pope Leo has changed that as it appears he's an American Liberal before he is the Pope of the Catholic Church.  President Trump has always been a counter puncher and there was no reason to believe he was going to allow a long time Trump hater off the hook just because he became pope. 
   The head of the oil and gas workers of America has posted a great video explaining how we refine which kind of oil and why prices reflect what we have been doing.
   A jury in New York has found Tickmaster guilty of creating a monopoly and gouging music and sports fans all across America.  Hunter Biden is broke and has fled the country.
   In sports, the Royals bats are officially the worst they have ever been to start a season.  Totally dreadful.  But the city council is about to approve $600 million for a new ballpark for the team.

   Mayor Q says the only thing left is a "Chiefs-esque" news conference announcing a new Royals ballpark at Crown Center.  Despite a whole bunch of angry people showing up in opposition, the $600 million from KCMO is about to fly through to approval. The Royals team president was in attendance for the council meeting Tuesday and he calls this a "great project" that will pass.  It's very close to a done deal as we wait to hear what the state of Missouri is kicking in.
   Kansas City will be soft on complaining about World Cup gouging and problems we experience for hosting but they aren't holding back in the northeast.  People in New York, Boston and Phildadelpia are going bonkers over transportation gouging of 800 percent, ticket switch fiascos and now.... NO TAILGATING at World Cup venues.  And yes, that includes Arrowhead.  Sorry fans, you just don't matter that much.
  Scott Bessent says an executive order for American banks is coming and one of the benefits could be cleaner elections.  In Johnson County, they are keeping the name Negro Creek after years of trying to remove it.  You have to hear why the Dems have changed their minds on these things moving on from canceling and embracing something even worse.
   A surgeon in Florida is indicted for losing a patient on the table when the removed the wrong organ.   The Royals have real problems... but it looks like a lot of other teams do as well.   Diana Russini quits her job over scandal and an American sweeheart has hooked up with another celebrity finding love later in life

    There are two meetings today to move forward on the Royals building a new stadium at Crown Center and we are getting a lot more details of what that district will look like by 2030.  The Parks and Rec board will vote to give the city manager authority to negotiate a lease with the team while the City Council meets to set up a schedule to move forward to approval of $600 million.  It's feeling like go time!
   Kansas governor Laura (Karen) Kelly used her veto 25 times this legislative session but the good news is a whole bunch of them were overridden by a supermajority.  Good news... the protests at public schools are about to go away as we've known them.
   Eric Swalwell's fall from grace has been years in the making, but, holy smokes is this getting ugly.  There's video everywhere... so much so it's like watching Hunter Biden all over again.  
   After Trump blocked the shipping ports in Iran, ships all over the world are headed to the Gulf of America.  It's incredible.  At least 125 empty ships are headed here to fill up 2 million barrels ON EACH SHIP.  Yes, that's $200 million worth of oil we are selling to 120 more ships.
   When I saw the photo of the charred and pretty much destroyed Orion capsule our astronauts returned home in, I only asked one question.  You may be asking the same thing.
   Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice posts the most hilarious post in Chiefs history as he suggests he will be looking for a new contract that pays him like he's the number one receiver in the NFL.  This dude has issues.
   FIFA is working another bait and switch on tickets and Arrowhead and nobody can do anything about it.  Governor Kehoe is sending the National Guard and State Troopers to KC for the World Cup and I missed quite a chance to buy a piece of expensive memorabilia for a song a decade ago.

   Vice President Vance walked away from talks with leaders from Iran after 21 hours and the sticking point is a big one.  Iran's new leaders won't sign an agreement preventing them from making nuclear weapons.  That leads to the next step.... the U.S. will block all Iranian ports and cut off all their revenue beginning Monday morning.
   Pop some corn, it's fun watching democrats tear apart the career of one of their own... former golden boy Eric Swalwell.  What a mess.
   Rory McIlroy blew a six shot lead at the Masters and fell behind Cameron Young and Justin Rose on Sunday before making a comeback with a pair of timely birdies on the back nine.  And there was controversy with a past champion Sunday.
   Why are the Royals off to a rough start?  How about this stat for you: Bobby Witt Jr has been on base 28 times this year and has only scored once.  Incredible.
  Some people are calling for a vote to approve KCMO spending $600m for the Royals to build a new park.  I"m not one of them.  The people already voted on this by electing the officials doing it.  I debate Pete Mundo on this topic in a spirited segment.
   College basketball transfers are happening so fast you can't keep track.  But it seems really strange to see all these KU players leaving.
   Our Final Final is something for the cat ladies.

   Mayor Quintin Lucas says Kansas City has $600 million to build the Royals a new stadium at Crown Center and couldn't wait to share the news.  But he did wait until after he won an earnings tax vote on Tuesday.  This is politics and its best or worst depending on how you look at it.  Now, the governor is on the clock.  Jeff City offered the Chiefs and/or Royals 50% of a new stadium if a city or county stepped up with support.  Get this... the "stupid" or "clueless" Royals as critics have called them will get WAY more than Kansas offered if Missouri kicks in 50%.  It will be the greatest deal any baseball team has ever had.  82 percent for free.
   The DOJ is misguided going after the NFL for its tv contract and I will prove it in less than a minute.  
   At the K, watching the Royals bat makes you want to watch CNN... Rory soars at the Masters in round one and gives a spectacular quote right after.  The coach/reporter scandal in the NFL grows and we learned when Travis and Taylor are getting married.
