Kevin Kietzman Has Issues

   Forget the polling, it's pretty clear Kamala Harris' campaign is in panic mode.  It's the only way to explain why she's everywhere right now chatting it up with easy liberal interviews... and failing miserably to answer the simplest questions.  What a mess.
   It's so bad that Libs Gone Wild is trending all over the place as they seem to know what's coming in four weeks.  We have a couple classic examples including a KU professor that could lose his job.
   Every journalist covering the Royals and Yankees has written a piece about the Yankees struggling bats.  It's fake news.  The story is Royals pitching and I've got the numbers to prove it as game three approaches.
   The Chiefs rest up after getting confirmation that receiver Rashee Rice is out for the year.  KU's AD speaks out about his unhappiness with how the football season is unfolding and an airline apologies after allowing a sex scandal to unfold during a ten hour flight.
 

   It is all here on this episode as KC has one of its biggest sports nights in history.  The Royals shut down the Yankees 4-2 while the Chiefs dominate the Saints at Arrowhead.  Oh, what a night it was!  First we breakdown a suddenly great baseball series and a pass happy Patrick Mahomes and then Stan joins us.
   Stan explains how the Chiefs defense has become the NFL's best and gives us great insight into the struggles at our local college programs... MU, KU and KSU.
   Then, Kamala has clearly done a 180 and is backing off her attacks on Trump because that aren't working.  We'll play an incredible audio clip of her flailing around trying to spit out new talking points that's so cringe worthy they must all be fighting behind the scenes. 

   Let's all stop complaining about umpires and recognize what's really important.  Cole Ragans.  The Royals ace is the single most important player in the series for the Royals and if he's great, the Royals will beat the Yankees.  If he's not, they won't.
   Is Arrowhead haunted?  A surprising study shows that it's really hard to catch the ball at Arrowhead at night.  Who knew?
   The NFL was filled with just ridiculously bad coaching Sunday and reminds us that Andy Reid used to be bad at game management.  He's so good at it now that all you see is other teams blowing games.
   College football is wild after 6 of the top 18 teams lose this week... this is getting fun!
   Donald Trump goes back to Butler, Pennsylvania with some famous friends.  If he wins this state... it's all over.
  The Country Club Plaza is getting a real makeover and it sounds great, Gary Woodland is honored in KC with other pros and a creepy thing is happening right in the middle of Kansas.

   We could be experiencing the October surprise this week and not even know it because it's so dark and nefarious. Of course I'm the guy that will bring it up.
   In KCMO they are blaming all the crime on everything except a city hall that's not a fan of the police department.  The latest?  Brookside residents want the National Guard called in.
  If you're of a certain age, your childhood as a sports fan was defined by Royals/Yankees playoff series' and it was mostly awful.  Walk off home runs, storming the field, Billy Martin messing with George Brett and homer Howard Cosell calling all the big games.  It was dreadful.  This series could help erase whatever 1980's win over the Bombers did not.

   A witness that appeared in front of Congress to testify against Donald Trump and the "threat to democracy" has flipped and stuns an MSNBC host as he says the Dems have way more AND bigger threats to democracy than Trump.
  A portion of a post debate poll will really shock you.  George Soros is buying up radio stations to crush conservative talk radio and the FCC may be breaking the law in fast tracking it before the election.
   And our Final Final is a great pirate story.
 

   I think a victory lap is due after Tuesday turned out, in about a dozen different ways, to be exactly what we thought it would be.  JD Vance was just incredible articulating and debating for a conservative move forward for America and in the process just broke down Tim Walz.
  Meanwhile, the world is on fire scrambling to get all it can in the last three months of the Biden administration.  I've got a term for what we are seeing.
   Cole Ragans and Bobby Witt Jr were fabulous for the Royals in game one of the Wildcard series at Baltimore and it's more than just one win.  We'll hear from both of them.
   Eli Drinkwitz used the bye week to self scout in prep for A&M, volleyball teams are cancelling matches in protest and a man puts his money where his mouth is for his dislike of Taylor Swift.

   What a time to be a sports fan in KC!  The Royals are heading to Baltimore for the playoffs this week, the Chiefs are one of two teams in the NFL that's 4-0 and NASCAR has a big playoff weekend in town.

   The Royals have just been amazing this week as their magic number is down to ONE!  After sweeping the Nats, the Royals get a huge hit from a Marlins rookie as they beat the Twins in 13 innings.  That rookie's dad played for the Royals... twice.
   The Chiefs catch a big break Sunday at the Chargers but it may not be enough.  This could be hard.  NASCAR's playoffs are at Kansas Speedway and the grand marshalls are pure gold friends of the podcast.
  New polling on cat ladies show that the stereotype is true.  Trump is about to give Zelensky a real dose of reality as they meet in New York.
