Kevin Kietzman Has Issues

   It's too early for any final judgement but cooler heads seem to be prevailing right now between the United States and Iran.  But it doesn't seem like it will stay that way.  It feels like Trump is waiting to see if Iran will fire first.
   While Tucker Carlson is brawling with Ted Cruz, the best voice from the sidelines in all this belongs to Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee.  He sent a brilliant note to the president, in private.  Trump made it public and it's historic and gorgeous.

   Donald Trump may not be a king to Americans but he must feel like king of the world.  After flying to Canada and announcing a new tariff deal with the UK, blasting the leader of France as an attention seeker and then announcing he's leaving the G7 Summit early... Trump created chaos in Iran by posting on Truth Social that citizens in Tehran need to flee the city immediately.  This is pure Trump and it's obvious we're all just living in his world.
   Minnesota officials detail the story of how two police officers had a chance to stop the political assassin but blew it, this is so sad.
   An airplane crashes into a hangar at the Johnson County airport  but miraculously bounces once and stays on the roof and nobody was seriously hurt.
   The College World Series had a wildly historic moment Monday as Arkansas pitcher Gage Woods tosses an incredible 19 strikeout no-hitter.  A college football dad brags about his son and I don't believe him.  Sportscenter is doing 50 states in 50 days and they are coming to KC... I'll tell you where.
   And a baseball game gets really crabby in Virginia.

   The Royals just lost a homestand.  Every game.  All very similar as the bats are so silent you can hear yourself breath inside Kauffman Stadium.  Is this the end of the 2025 season?  Should the Royals be thinking about trading away players to build a better team down the road?  Well, somehow they are still only 3 games back of a playoff spot so we think they'll be hanging on a few more weeks.  But, man, its ugly.
   The US Open Golf Championship at Oakmont in Pennsylvania was a hot mess from start to finish but what a little known journeyman named JJ Spaun did on the 72nd hole is the stuff of legend.
   A guest columnist pens a nice piece in support of NKC being the best location for a new Royals Stadium.  KU Athletic Director Travis Goff says KU will spend more of it's salary cap money for Bill Self's basketball team than almost any other school.
   Army 250 and No Kings Day made headlines this weekend.  One was a celebration of American Greatness, the other a collection of misfits bitching about Trump being a King.  And No Kings Day was plenty peaceful in KC but deadly in Utah and Minnesota.
   Pope Leo appeared on the Jumbotron at White Sox park for a special mass this weekend.  Rand Paul may be on board with the Big Beautiful Bill and Fenway Park workers may go on strike.

   Iran was hit hard by Israeli forces after their 60 day deadline to work out a no nukes deal expired.  It sounds like it was directed by the US.
   The Royals lose 1-0 to the Yankees and finish 0-6 against the bombers this year... this team is at a crossroad as the A's arrive for a weekend series that feels really important.
   The US Open was better than expected as several players were able to handle the tough conditions at Oakmont Country Club, the biggest names from LIV Golf.

   When Jessica goes to a Royals game, you just expect them to lose.  And the non-competitive Royals held to form against the Yankees Wednesday night was we enjoyed the game with Guy Benson from Fox News and Pete Mundo from KCMO Talk Radio.  I'll share a couple stories.
   The Missouri House passes the senate bill to support new facilities for the Chiefs and Royals.  It leads to Clark Hunt putting out one of the strangest statements you've ever heard.
   Now Missouri lawmakers are imploring Jackson County to put up a vote for an additional tax.  One leader in Jackson County says it won't happen this year.  What?  And other members in Jeff City say they've done their job and want the teams to decide by the same June 30 deadline the teams put on the state of Missouri.
   Tensions are growing with Iran and Trump addresses it.  A 787 Dreamliner taking off in India heading for London crashes after take off and the initial reactions from most experts is this was no accident.
   Scott Bessent is stumping for the Big Beautiful Bill, Joe Rogan says a couple former Presidents came after him during Covid and AMC Theaters is making a move to help boost the bottom line.

   Fewer than 200 people gathered in KC to protest ICE and it was a comical group.  A whole bunch of white people with wrinkled clothes, ratty hair and bad signs complaining about the laws of our land is less than inspirational.  And they went home way before dark.  These are not ICE rallies, these are just the same people that don't like America or Donald Trump.
   LA mayor Karen Bass implemented a curfew last night and it was ignored.  Political rioters and looters took to the streets and LAPD says 197 people were arrested.  And those who broke in to the Apple store had a rude awakening.  Apple tracked those who stole products, turned the info over to authorities and disabled the devices. Hysterical.  Steal shoes next time!
   GM is spending $4 billion to move production from Mexico to the US and KC is getting a great boost at the Fairfax plant.
  The Yanks blast the Royals and Manager Q pulls another head scratcher.  Aaron Rodgers reports to Steelers camp with a wedding ring and starts a bromance with former KSU quarterback Will Howard.  Bryson DeChambeau and the heavy rough are the big stories at the US Open and Simone Biles has apologized to Riley Gaines.

   It didn't take long for Gavin Newsom videos to surface that really destroy his current narrative and none are worse than a pair of social media posts he made.  Yep, Gavin loves the camera and twice before he has bragged about deploying the National Guard in California.  You have to hear this.
   If the communists and anarchists have their way, Saturday will be a nationwide day of defiance being organized as something called Rise Up. Why Saturday?  There's three big reasons and we explain.
   A Missouri state senator wants to name the St. Louis Cardinals the official pro baseball team of Missouri.  It's curious for a lot of reasons but he also wants to classify the Royals as something less.
   The Yankees are in town and the K will be rocking.  We share a couple ideas the Chiefs could be considering if they stay at Arrowhead.  A coach at the College World Series is more than a coach.  The rough at the US Open and what the USGA does with this tourney every year takes away from the greatness of the players.

   There's a reason Vegas didn't offer odds on where the open border, illegal aliens criminal showdown would take place because it was always going to be Los Angeles.  With over 10% of the state's population being illegal you knew they wouldn't all go quietly.  So they love waving the flag of their home country while burning the American flag and trying to hurt cops.  Even many democrats with side with Trump on this one.
   ABC suspends a reporter/anchor for TDS.  Kansas pulls in an outrageous amount of tax revenue in May, wait until you hear how well the tax cuts are going.
   With everyone thinking the Chiefs will renovate Arrowhead, consider this.  After only 23 years, the Broncos are proposing another new stadium with a complete real estate, mixed use entertainment district that is projected to cost $5.3 billion.  You really think everyone in the division is going to have a shiny, new, revenue generating stadium except the Chiefs?
   Matt Quatraro has had his worst week as Royals manager with some puzzling moves but the Royals finish the road trip 3-3.   
   There's two more pretty good girl fights going on in sports and the college teams are about to have a salary cap.

   It's just absurd that Elon Musk and Donald Trump are having a very public fight but I guess this is what you get when you try to keep a couple whales in your farm pond.  Let's hope this cools off quickly.
   Missouri politicians take a victory lap all day long Thursday as they are now totally convinced the Chiefs and Royals are staying in the Show Me state.
   North Kansas City wants to party and they are willing to pay you $400 to do it.  The new Black Panther is white in Marvel Comic's new series.  A straight Ohio woman wins a SCOTUS case against her gay boss with a 9-0 decision.  This is huge.
  In sports, the Royals split a double header but should have won both.  Manager Q and Cole Ragans have awful days but several players did not.
   Aaron Rodgers signs with the Steelers, the NBA Finals begin with a buzzer beating shocker and your song of the week is an ode to great Americans.

   AFter years of inaction by everyone at every government level in Missouri, the state Senate saves the day at 2:30 am in a special session passing a bill that could keep the Royals and Chiefs in the Show Me state.  It moves to the House where it is expected to pass easily and then the governor will sign.  Now we will find out exactly what both teams want to do as they have sweet offers in both states. 
   Jackson County Legislator Manny Abarco is arrested and charged in Johnson County for domestic battery.  This after he apparently took his two year old son from his mother who filed a missing persons report.  Only in Jackson County.
    Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy just unloads on an employee of his, radio host Kirk Minihane.  It's ugly and profane and you will hear what it's like to work for the worst boss ever.
