The stars have aligned for an ad to vote yes on April 2 for a new Jackson County stadium tax. We're talking Kelce, Mahomes, BWjr, Justin Reid, George Karlaftis, Salvy and Andy Reid all in one spot. This will work and the teams know it as their work on this so far has been as unimpressive as it gets.
Mayor Q has some bad ideas for the Country Club Plaza, even as cops look for thieves that stole hundreds of thousands of dollars in jewelry. AOC gets heckled in public over her stance on Palestine. A study proves EV's are worse for the environment than gas cars. What?
In sports, KSU visits Allen Field House as both teams are searching for something more. La'Jarius Sneed gets the franchise tag from the Chiefs and Royals starter Cole Ragans is becoming a major story around Major League Baseball

It's a big week for Donald Trump as the Supreme Court rules to put him on the ballot in Colorado and other states. Super Tuesday is going to be a super sweep for the former Prez as the primary that never really started pretty much ends. At the same time, Joe Biden in under fire from liberal media including 60 Minutes and NBC.
Chris Stigall took to X to hammer Missouri governor Mike Parson over the weekend after Parson commuted the sentence of Brit Reid.
There was a whole lot of losing in college basketball Saturday as KU is having it's worst year ever under Bill Self. KSU and MU flopped, too. But can you believe it? UMKC is surging all the way up to the number two seed in their conference tourney next week and they've got a real shot to go dancing.

Senator Josh Hawley just flat out unloaded on the Turtle, Mitch McConnell in an interview with www.heartlandernews.com questioning why the 82 year old can't quit today instead of November. This is an epic beat down and of course, Josh Hawley is right again.
Trump and Biden visit the border for two different stories. Biden literally brought up climate change while Trump is talking about calling Laken Riley's parents and giving illegal alien crime stats that are shocking. You couldn't have a bigger contrast in choices this year.
Lenexa and Johnson County want to spend $10 million renovating a couple buildings at 95th and I-35 to import homeless people. This is clever.
Andy Reid said a couple really, really honest and profound thing in a one on one side bar interview yesterday at the scouting combine, I'll play it for you.
Bill Self has his best one liner of the season when asked about Iowa's Caitlyn Clark. Lee's Summit North coach Jamar Mozee is leaving for a college job and it sounds like his son may follow him.
And one country becomes the first to legalize pot and then make it illegal again.

The Chiefs had a rough day Wednesday showing us all they are better on the field than off. The owner got rated dead last in the NFL by his own players and the "reimagined" Arrowhead is underwhelming at best. It seemed hurried and forced and not much of a reason for taxpayers to hand them a half billion dollars unless there is a real threat they would move.
We finally got to see the word "gang" from officials in Jackson County related to shooting arrests. Two men from the East Side Gang were charged in the Crown Center shooting where at least 54 shots were fired, 3 bystanders were injured and racial slurs were flying everywhere. Oh, but they also refer to the conflict being between "two groups" and only mention the two arrested as gang members. Comical.
The Supreme Court will hear President Trump's case for immunity on April 22. The Turtle, Mitch McConnell is out as leader of GOP Senators, but not fast enough and the College Football Playoff wants an expansion to their expansion to benefit the SEC and Big Ten. Go figure....

We thought this was behind the Kansas Jayhawks after strong performances at OU and a home beatdown of Texas. But no, KU seems to have a gear that gets stuck at critical points in a game and it happened again Tuesday as BYU won at Allen Fieldhouse.
Local politico Preston Smith, a conservative, has released a report every voter considering a downtown ballpark should read at www.tonyskansascity.com as it debunks many points the Royals make. But the real shocker is the crime statistics within one mile of the new site. I promise you won't believe these insane crime numbers.
On my long walk with Cabo Tuesday, a song from 1980 by rock band STYX came on and the words could have been written today. Wait until you hear what the band had to say when Jimmy Carter was president.
Mecole Hardman goes on a podcast and suggests the Chiefs may have tampered with him to get him from the Jets, La'Jarius Sneed is likely to get the franchise tag and Tyreek Hill has bizarre new legal trouble.
Also, Kansas State has surprisingly great odds in Vegas to make the College Football Playoff and illegal alien crimes are starting to get reported everywhere.

I'm sick of hearing people defend criminals by saying one bad decision should not ruin their life. It's never one bad decision. By the time somebody fires shots or bashes a skull, they've made all kinds of bad decisions to get to that point.
It's National Retro Day and at the risk of being a total sexist, I've got a doozy for you.
We are planning a listener party for the Royals season opener March 28 and you can join us for an event that you will truly enjoy around like minded people.
The Chiefs are revealing some stadium renovation plans Wednesday, KSU coach Jerome Tang blows and epic lead and then has harsh words for his fans, Kevin McCullar is out versus BYU and Kevin Costner is releasing an epic western saga in theaters this summer.

Another avoidable crime is creating outrage in America as an illegal alien is charged with murdering a college girl on a jog in Athens, Georgia. On top of this disgusting crime we learn that this thug was arrested in New York City in September.... and released. Several media reports do not include his illegal status and criminal past in a coverup of the real problem. It's so dishonest.
Trump rolls through South Carolina easily winning Saturday's primary that was largely a campaign to court black voters. Trump's got a simple message in one short quote. We'll share it with you.
Conservative comedian Shane Gillis was fired from Saturday Night Live in 2019 and cancel culture left him for dead. Trouble is.... he's funny and popular and, well, SNL asked him to be the host. Now that's progress.
KU seems to be flipping a switch as we switch the calendar this week to March. A fantasy football loser takes his punishment for finishing last, one waffle at a time and Mahomes and Kelce and company are partying it up in Vegas.

The Chiefs signing of punter Matt Araiza is not just some roster move, it's a win for men all over America after Araiza nearly had his life destroyed by a false claim and lawsuit from a money hungry woman. Of course he's innocent, no charges were ever recommended and she dropped her civil suit. So why isn't there a law that could charge the woman after all this?
At the same time, stud starting pitcher Trevor Bauer is still a free agent after a woman conspired to steal from him and then make up stories to extort him. Have the Chiefs shown the Royals the way?
KU has had a week of rest and are clearly working every day toward March Madness and not a Big 12 run. MLB has new uniforms and they are a disaster and you can literally see through the pants.
CBS fires a reporter and seizes her computers and phone, the Teamsters announce they are fully behind Trump and the DC hands on big money to single moms and you won't believe how they spent it. Actually, yes you will.

It's probably a good sign that the Royals putting a QT patch on their uniforms this year created such a buzz Wednesday, one week after a gang style shootout at the Chiefs celebration put our city on edge.
Meanwhile, the mom of the thug that started the shoutout starts a GoFundMe page and it doesn't go over very well.
Joe Biden ships out the second dog of his presidency as it's obvious he's unfit to own a pet. Uncontrolled dogs are a real problem and I'll share a hard story to tell about our friends who just lost their beloved friend.
The judge deciding whether Fani Willis can go on with her case against Trump used to work under Fani and donated to here campaign.
A gravel lot by the river is now the second most expensive place to park in KC.... for Women's Soccer. Wow. I'll share a great college basketball metric that KU is about to show a middle finger to and Eric Hosmer retires rich after 13 years but unfulfilled after leaving KC.
