Knocking Doors for Joe Karlin and Mark Charlton
Thursday Oct 19, 2023
Thursday Oct 19, 2023
As you know, we've been working hard in west Lenexa for Joe Karlin for Mayor and Mark Charlton for council in Ward 2. What I've learned about us registered Republicans has been enlightening to say the least. I'll share a few stories including an encounter with the man running against Charlton. It's hilarious! And what's happening here is what's happening where you live. It's eye opening.
And for those we've met that want to hear Joe Karlin in his own words, not my ramblings, here you go. We are posting the interview at the top of the slate for the weekend. Give him a chance to earn your vote

It's laughable the way the Chargers lose games and the table is set for the Chiefs to devour the entire division just 7 weeks in. Just one problem. IF the Chargers actually play a great game, this could be hard. Stan Weber breaks down the game and how the Chiefs new defense could be setting them up for something greater than ever.
The Missouri Tigers made a statement at Kentucky so we ask Stan if Mizzou is more likely to win 8 games or 10. His answer may surprise you.
K-State doesn't have a quarterback controversy, it's more an embarrassment of riches. We discuss what this may look like going forward.
And why is it just so strange and silent regarding the status of KU quarterback Jalon Daniels? It's all here on the Football Feast.

You know the Dems are coming after Joe Biden when 60 minutes does a sit down with the prez and includes the line, "America's oldest president seemed tired." If he's still coherent enough, Biden must feel the weight of the world on his shoulders right now. He is not up for this at all.
House Republicans say they will have a floor vote Tuesday to elect Jim Jordan the new speaker. I'll believe it when I see it.
Kansas Republicans say they're going to put a constitutional amendment on the ballot to keep Democrats from raising your property tax valuations. Pretty cool.
Four conservative school board candidates in Blue Valley are campaigning together at www.bluevalleyexcellence.com and they are not holding back in what they want their schools to be.
Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert lost another game Monday night by throwing a pick at the end. Charger fans in the stands looked stunned, probably because they are now realizing he's just a younger Phillip Rivers.
The Chiefs have a chance to add a deep threat at wide receiver if they want to go Hollywood and former KU star Josh Jackson, twice arrested before, is in big, big trouble this time.

The Missouri Tigers answered the call to play well late and play complete football in a 38-21 win on the road at Kentucky and they did it after falling behind 14-0. If this is what is a sign to come, Mizzou is about to have a special season.
Defenses are taking away K-State's downfield passing game with Will Howard by keeping the safeties deep, so Chris Kleiman put in his freshman Avery Johnson to run the ball... and Johnson scored 5 touchdowns to beat down Texas Tech. So, what's next?
KU's offense was rolling behind Jason Bean as they put 5 td's on the board just one drive into the second half. Then they never scored again. What in the world happened?
The Chiefs aren't the only team playing better defense in the NFL this year. The Jets and Browns locked up the Eagles and Niners and pocketed wins over undefeated teams... and they did it using lame backup quarterbacks.
There's still no speaker of the House... but they plan to have a floor vote for Jim Jordan on Tuesday. Wake me when its over.
And Arizona senate candidate Kari Lake has the best mic drop campaign tweet you've ever seen. Also, Travis and Taylor play SNL and a toy from a movie sells at auction for over $3 million. We'll tell you what it is.

My mistake... let's try this again and thanks to everyone that alerted me to the silent hole at the 30:00 minute mark!
Defense is sexy. There, I said it. The new look Chiefs are frustrating some KC fans and I can understand why. It doesn't look like Patrick Mahomes will win and MVP award, the Dolphins offense is like a video game but what do you know? KC hasn't played well and they're 5-1. How? KC has the 2nd ranked defense in the NFL. Warning: Nobody is taking out the champs if Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes have the second best defense in the league.
Campus protests and big city gatherings filled with students, scholars and BLM members supporting Hamas in America are sickening. We've got two great responses from a pair of men in sports you may know that sum this pathetic situation up perfectly. Hamas is literally occupying Gaza now, keeping citizens from moving to safety. This is so one sided, Hamas is the devil.
Then, Lee Sterling of www.paramountsports.com joins us with his point spread picks for the weekend including KU, KSU, MU and the rest of the NFL.

It's old fashioned and seemingly out of touch in our high tech society but a perfectly written letter by the President at the University of Florida crystalizes how would should all be acting in light of the madness we are seeing across the nation after the attack on Israel.
Missouri Senator Josh Hawley has it right again as he's calling for the US to make a bigger, faster commitment to getting our citizens out of Israel, fast. And he's right when he says we should redirect Ukraine aid to Israel.
Looking for some part time work? Well, you can make some cool cash standing outside Trump rallies holding anti-Trump signs.
The Broncos are #2 in the NFL in fast offensive starts. When Sean Payton's guys are on script, they're pretty good. This could actually be a high scoring game.
Taylor Swift has been sneaking in and out of KC to visit Travis Kelce and rumors are swirling she's here again tonight.
KU schools the NCAA on how to fight a major infractions case.
And all three of our local teams hit the road this weekend...... it could get bumpy.

The Chiefs have a 15 game winning streak over the Denver Broncos that's been going on longer than we've had White Claws or Tik Tok. Patrick Mahomes is 10-0 against the so called rival. But they haven't always been easy as this isn't college football. The Broncos are showing signs of improvement and it will be interesting to see if they can hang with one of the league's elite teams.
Aaron Rodgers now says he wants to debate Travis Kelce about the Pfizer covid shot. This is turning in to silliness even though Rodgers has been right all along.
The NHL season is starting and the headline is they are banning Pride tape on hockey sticks. But the rest of the story is the real context.
As Israel fights back against Hamas, videos are surfacing everywhere of Republicans everywhere that warned this would happen under Joe Biden. Now, there's even a video of Biden himself saying on the campaign trail that America can't do what he did as president. This is nuts.
The race for speaker of the house is getting silly for the GOP and Taylor Swift makes a big donation to a local charity.

The horrific pictures we are seeing from Gaza City and Israel are beyond barbaric and we fully support Israel to defend itself and destroy these brutal terrorists called Hamas. But make no mistake about it, this fight is coming to America. This isn't Russia and Ukraine. Palestinians are already taking to the streets in Chicago and New York and Sydney chanting, "gas the Jews." You'd better believe our open border has allowed in hundreds, if not thousands of really, really bad people that want to kill Americans. All our fake bickering about race and homophobia seems pretty silly right about now as we see what hate really looks like and face the prospect of dealing with it in our streets.
Chiefs tight end is nursing his ankle to get ready for Thursday night's game and taking shots from all over the internet from doctors and scientists. Not Pfizer shots, truth shots.
A Chiefs rookie is improving rapidly and just the right time and the Arizona Diamondbacks take MLB by storm in dominating the heavily favored Dodgers to go up 2 games to none in their best of five playoff series.

Stan Weber joins us to wrap a bow around a wild weekend of football that saw the Chiefs clean up so many facets of their game in a 27-20 win over Minnesota. Then we talk contenders and pretenders and who the MVP of the league is so far. Brock Purdy, superstar? You bet.
It was going well for the Tigers in Columbia Saturday until LSU finished strong with a 22-7 fourth quarter. Stan explains exactly what Mizzou needs to do to finish stronger.
KU rushed for 399 yards against UCF in an easy win and the schedule ahead looks great for the Jayhawks. KSU flat out flopped at OSU Friday night as Will Howard tries to force passes to receivers that can't get open and we talk SEC and Big 12 races for the top.

There's a lot of reasons Joe Biden is suddenly interested in building border walls in Texas as we predicted he would do. Sure, there's criminals and terrorists and overcrowding and a million problems but the reason he's on it now is he wants votes. Specifically, he's getting crushed on this issue with black voters who see all these illegals on their doorsteps and they aren't happy. Hundreds rallied in Chicago to stop the illegals and it was quite a scene.
The Chair of the DNC is sounding alarm bells that a "rash" of Dems are switching parties including Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson. Johnson, who is black, is explaining to his voters he switched because he wants the illegals out of Dallas and wants a bigger, better police force. His voters love it.
Spotify's number one podcast is no longer Joe Rogan. It's New Heights with the Kelce brothers. Spotify also says it believes the pod is the number one in the world this week. Amazing.
By playing the Vikings Sunday, Patrick Mahomes checks his last box and Lee Sterling from www.paramountsports.com joins us with his picks for the Chiefs, Mizzou, KU and KSU this weekend.
