Kevin Kietzman Has Issues

   Stan Weber joins us to wrap a bow around a wild weekend of football that saw the Chiefs clean up so many facets of their game in a 27-20 win over Minnesota.  Then we talk contenders and pretenders and who the MVP of the league is so far.  Brock Purdy, superstar?  You bet.
   It was going well for the Tigers in Columbia Saturday until LSU finished strong with a 22-7 fourth quarter.  Stan explains exactly what Mizzou needs to do to finish stronger.
   KU rushed for 399 yards against UCF in an easy win and the schedule ahead looks great for the Jayhawks.  KSU flat out flopped at OSU Friday night as Will Howard tries to force passes to receivers that can't get open and we talk SEC and Big 12 races for the top.

   There's a lot of reasons Joe Biden is suddenly interested in building border walls in Texas as we predicted he would do.  Sure, there's criminals and terrorists and overcrowding and a million problems but the reason he's on it now is he wants votes.  Specifically, he's getting crushed on this issue with black voters who see all these illegals on their doorsteps and they aren't happy.  Hundreds rallied in Chicago to stop the illegals and it was quite a scene. 
   The Chair of the DNC is sounding alarm bells that a "rash" of Dems are switching parties including Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson.  Johnson, who is black, is explaining to his voters he switched because he wants the illegals out of Dallas and wants a bigger, better police force.  His voters love it.
   Spotify's number one podcast is no longer Joe Rogan.  It's New Heights with the Kelce brothers.  Spotify also says it believes the pod is the number one in the world this week.  Amazing.

  This is the biggest week in years at 'Ol Mizzou and why not?  5-0 with a scorching hot QB and a game wrecking wide receiver the Tigers are poised to light up the board against a traditional powerhouse LSU team with zero defense.  Every arrow is pointing up... but how confident should Tiger fans be?
   In Lawrence, the quarterback situation is no clearer than it was a few days ago.  And K-State travels to OSU as a big fave.
   In the NFL, the Chiefs travel to Minnesota to play Kirk Cousins and the Vikings.  Cousins has had the turnover bug this year but this is a real team and a likable guy.  Cousins became even more likable this week at a Minnesota Twins playoff game.  We have the story.
   As we watch the mayhem in the House, one candidate is the odds on favorite to replace Kevin McCarthy as speaker.  But it has me thinking not just about the future of the Republican Party but parties in general.  We'll discuss.
   The Country Club Plaza's new owners and very close to the Hunt family in Texas, this has to be good for KC, right?  Joe Biden can't even own a dog so they took Commander away from him after biting a 12th staff member.  And LeBron James is lonely and begging to be on the Kelce podcast.

   I wasn't in favor of Matt Gaetz executing a coup on the Speaker of the House, but it has happened.  So, if Dems can impeach Trump over a phone call, claim he worked with Russia to rig the election, indict him everywhere to keep him from being President why not join them in making a mockery of democracy in America?  Let's make Trump the Speaker and let him oversee the impeachment of Joe Biden and have subpoena power to bring in any of the AG's after him.  It's the only way to fight fair. 
   The feds are about to send an alert to every single phone in America and they say it's about disaster preparedness.  Are you buying that?
   Pitcher Trevor Bauer has endured two years of Trump like persecution from the media, MLB and a fraudulent woman playing victim to extort him out of millions.  We must make this a crime in America as Bauer's case is the most unjust thing against men in our society.  And nobody else will pay a price for it. 
   Aaron Rodgers slams Travis Kelce with a new nickname and Jackson County, Missouri says they may have to separate the Royals and Chiefs stadium votes on the same ballot.

   Democrat Congressman Henry Cuellar was carjacked in Washington DC Monday by three masked gunmen and it must have been terrifying.  It's just the latest in a series of representatives and staffers on the hill that have been crime victims this year.  I just have one question for Mr. Cuellar or any of the others and it's a doozy.
   The Trump civic trial is the one that really jumped the shark.  What the hell is this thing about?  It looks like Trump filled out some bank loan forms that the state of New York says were exaggerated.  But he paid all the loans and the banks are happy with him.  What's the crime here?
   Chris Jones did an interview on NBC after the game Sunday night we didn't see because they broke to local news and it's gone viral online.  Jones was great... but one of the NBC anchors got into it with the Chiefs star calling Jets quarterback Zach Jones "garbage."
   The game set a record as the most watched thing on tv since the Super Bowl.  Travis and Taylor pulled in 27 million viewers.  Amazing.
   Bill Self took the chicken exit speaking with the media and releasing a statement about his botched recruitment, signing and handling of a rape allegation against star guard Arterio Morris.
   The MLB post season is here and our Final/Final is a company trying to reinvent a product you use every single day. 

   No more Jets please.  Seriously, let's not have the Chiefs play against that defense again this year even though they scored early and hung on to win 23-20.  This was a great win and we're not joking here.  These rock fights out of division on the road have been a real problem for KC but they found a way to win this one even with a poor passing game.  
   The paparazzi are having a ball with Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, now known as "Traylor", and Kelce is more than happy to feed it as he was photographed leaving Taylor's apartment 9 hours before kickoff wearing a profane tee shirt.  
   The Buffalo Bills served up an extra large portion of humble pie on the Miami Dolphins and make a statement in the AFC.
   Mizzou rolls Vandy on a record day for Brady Cook and now the table is set for a wild, wild scene in Columbia this week as LSU comes calling.  This is turning into something that feels special.
  The Royals lose 106 games but Bobby Witt joined the 30/30 club and Zack Greinke got a rousing ovation as he walked off the mound for perhaps the final time.
   The United States Ryder Cup team is a joke and I'm done watching if the Americans don't start taking this seriously and the Attorney General of the United States breaks down and cries on 60 Minutes. What the heck?

  If you missed it this week, we learned that Evergy says they will have to keep a coal plant open they wanted to convert to natural gas.  It's in the most liberal city in Kansas to create power to make electric vehicle batteries in Desoto.  What?  Oh, and your tax dollars for "inflation reduction" will pay for all of it. 
  In Wyoming, the feds gave $1.1 million last year for electric buses that are now toast in one of the greatest places to visit on earth.  Good luck getting up the slopes this winter. 
   And the Chiefs are rolling to the Big Apple in a game everyone thinks is about to be a beat down.  Lee Sterling of www.paramountsports.com is here with that point spread pick along with MU/KU and the AFC.

   House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has informed a whole bunch of reporters that don't want to listen that they now have records of a $250,000 payment from a Chinese national to Joe Biden's home address in Delaware when he was VP.  It's falling apart for Sleepy as he can't even control his own crazy dog.
   The Kansas Teacher of the Year works at a middle school just blocks from my house and I'm certain he's dedicated and hard working and really wants to teach kids.  But what he wants to teach them is the reason he was selected for the award.
   A female journalist at Daily Caller has written a wonderful piece about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce and how it cannot work because the pop star is a radical feminist.  She makes all the sense in the world.
   Tyreek Hill knows exactly what he wants to do after football but shouldn't have said it.
   Royals star Bobby Witt Jr still needs one more homer for a 30/30 season, the first ever for KC.

   If they gave journalism awards for inconsistency, the Kansas City Star would have the biggest trophy case in America.  The paper that called for me to be fired because I said Andy Reid's convicted felon sons were bad hires as football coaches is keeping a race baiting reporter that got facts wrong with a story and tried to pick a fight with an employee at a company he was trashing.  Of course, they didn't believe Toriano Porter was a wild liberal agitator until a video of him surface being "completely unprofessional" according to his bosses.  He broke at least three statutes in the employee handbook.... but they will welcome him back!   I smell a Pulitzer.
   Travis Kelce must really have  a crush on Taylor Swift as he arranged for Prime Social Rooftop to kick everyone out at 8:00 Sunday night so he could throw a private party that lasted until 2:00 am.  There's a lot to hate about Taylor Swift's whiny, complaining songs and her politics, but this is kind of fun being the cool city. 
   Joe Biden steps in it again botching LL Cool J's name and then referring to him as "boy."  Oh, boy.
   Fox News immediately cuts away from a Donald Trump speech the second he mentioned a name they won't allow to be mentioned on their channel, the White House continues to fret about a third party candidate and with shiny recruiting classes, the upcoming hoops season is shaping up to be a great one in the midwest.
