   New York City is in big trouble.  If America's largest city is in crisis over illegal aliens hanging out and destroying things all over the place, how can we handle any more people at all?  Their mayor is crying foul and threating lawsuits and, well, it's all their own fault for putting up a neon sign saying they're better than conservatives and everyone is welcome.  Citizen or not.
   Tyreek Hill's house fire was started by an unattended child playing with a lighter.  This is the least surprising part of this story.
    The Chiefs have some big decisions to make about playing time Sunday, especially with Rashee Rice who has more Yards after Catch than Tyreek Hill this year.  Amazing.
   Conference basketball starts for KU, KSU and MU  Saturday and we'll preview their games and chances.  And there's a glaring stat about the Big 12 strength of schedule that is one of the craziest things I've ever heard.
   The Royals should, at the very least, consider signing ace pitcher Trevor Bauer who's been blackballed the past two years.  This is a wild story but Bauer is free and clear and I don't see why he can't play.

   If you were expecting anything other than just fun gossip out of the Jeffrey Epstein document dump, you were sadly disappointed.  It's not much of a headline to say Bill Clinton is a lying, cheating, scamming perverted man whore, we've known that for 30 years.  This is all destined to be a dud as too many powerful people are still in charge.

  GOP Rep Dan Crenshaw has an interview cancelled by Fox News as Crenshaw unloads on popular host Jesse Watters.  Watters called out members of Congress for stock trades and Crenshaw responded by calling Watters a rich kid millionaire who cheated on his wife and sits down on a toilet to pee. Oh boy, you have to hear this.
   The Chiefs are playing backups this week and it will be their lowest rated game on tv in years.  But 2023 was a banner year for KC on TV as they were 5 of the top 10 broadcasts nationwide.
  La'Jarius Sneed is snubbed by the Pro Bowl, Tyreek Hill's house is literally burning, not just figuratively and the AKC announces a new dog breed.

   After watching KJP say one thing and Joe Biden do another on Tuesday, along with a slew of stories the liberal media knowingly get wrong but never correct or apologize for, it's obviously time to add more regulations in media in America.  I hate over regulating... but this is a must for our society, especially now  with AI coming on board.
   You may have heard about your favorite servers at Twin Peaks getting the shaft on credit card fees on the their tips, but I agree with management.  Shocker... if you stop reading the Star and check out the Fox 4 website, you'll see the tv station found several happy employees that are ok with the new policy.

   As the calendar turns to 2024 we feel a new sense of hope for what may be.  I'll share a short list of good things that could signal a huge turnaround for the better.
  In Japan, nearly 400 passengers on a flaming jumbo jet on the runway get out safely.  It's a true New Year's Miracle as the plane was fully engulfed with flames and burned to the core.
   After taking nothing but heat for a year for purchasing Twitter and supposedly losing billions, Elon Musk is once again the richest man in the world.  Musk's net worth increased by almost $100 billion.
   The Chiefs are the three seed and we'll discuss the options of who could be the playoff opponent.  La'Jarius Sneed is a flat out stud.  An NFL owner loses his mind and throws his drink at a fan, Mizzou coach Eli Drinkwitz has now earned every penny he's making with a new contract and the College Football Playoff Semi's were sensational.
 

   For some reason, we didn't get to see everything Avery Johnson can do as the new starting quarterback at Kansas State, but we saw enough.  In a clean, efficient performance on an offense with zero receiver talent, the freshman delivered a bowl win over a ranked opponent with a top ranked defense.  Not too shabby.
  Mizzou and Ohio State are up next in the Cotton Bowl against Ryan Day's Ohio State Buckeyes.  A lot of folks love Mizzou in this one, including me.  But let's not forget that Ryan Day is 56-7 as head coach.  This should be a dandy.
  A former Chiefs calls the current team "spoiled little brats" and Aaron Rodger states plainly exactly what is wrong with KC's offense.  Then, Lee Sterling of www.paramountsports.com has your point spread picks for this weekend.

   The Broncos bench Russell Wilson to save money and a major university refuses to give their head coach his bowl bonus AFTER he won his 5th straight bowl game.  Wow.
 

   What a week of football as we are sandwiched between an ugly Chiefs loss and a record setting KU Bowl Game win.  Stan Weber is here for all of it as we ask what KU can be next year, what the Chiefs can be in the playoffs and preview the bowl games for Kansas State and Mizzou.

   The Chiefs were absolutely awful against the Raiders on Sunday despite another epic performance by the defense.  For the second week in a row, all the offense had to do was not LOSE the game.  But they did.  And Patrick Mahomes is more to blame than anyone as he handed 14 points to the Raiders.  Mahomes has become Lamar Jackson and everyone in this town is afraid to say it out loud, choosing instead to blame everyone else not named Andy. 
   The Chiefs look nothing like a Super Bowl contender, but who does?  The Niners, Cowboys, Eagles and Dolphins all looked bad even though a couple of them won.  The Ravens looked great but Lamar will eventually be Lamar and turn the ball over to lose big games.  This year is a mess for the NFL except for one thing.... everyone in the playoffs seemingly will have a chance.
   The Kansas Jayhawks play UNLV Tuesday night in Phoenix in a bowl game and if they don't run for a million yards, we'll be surprised.  This matchup is perfect for KU.
   A local high school approves a Satan Club and Joe Biden should actually sanction the United States for what his party is doing to our elections.  We'll explain.
