Kevin Kietzman Has Issues

   Former Blue Valley Northwest and KU star Christian Braun lit a fuse for the Denver Nuggets in Game three of the Finals with one of the best off the bench performances ever by a rookie.  Everyone was stunned at the energy and execution in the series swinging win for Denver.
   The Royals are swept in Florida and now head to smokey Baltimore with their dads in tow.  One shot of the dads in their suite as their sons were getting pummeled says it all.  This trip is a dud.
   Rory McIlroy of the PGA Tour is still blasting LIV Golf and I'm not sure why.  He's about to make more money than he ever dreamed and says he still "hates" LIV Golf.
   The FBI is going to show that 1023 document to the entire House Oversight Committee after all.  This is the one that has information about Joe Biden taking a bribe in exchange for US policy.  This is getting juicy.
   At the same time, the Feds inform President Trump he's under investigation for possibly illegally possessing 100 classified documents at Mar A Lago.  They just won't stop. 
   And Fox News is threatening legal action against Tucker Carlson saying his 10 minute video on Twitter is a breach of his contract with Fox.  I'll explain why this is a total joke and share my personal experience under a similar contract. 

   The merger between the PGA Tour and the Public Investment Fund in Saudi Arabia was a much bigger story than just for those that enjoy golf.  It was so big, it just blew Chris Christie and Mike Pence announcing they are running for President out of the water.  Then it got worse as a social media post by President Trump from 11 months ago predicting it would happen blew up social media.
   Tucker Carlson debuted a new monologue called Tucker on Twitter and 18 hours in it has 60 million views.  Some are calling this the end of traditional media but I'm not one of them.  We'll tell you why.
   Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker made a very subtle statement on abortion at the Chiefs White House visit I'm not sure even he thought people would figure out.
   Jackson Mahomes catches a break in court, the NBA ratings are up and the Royals are in free fall.  Then, a classic reunion photo in Lee's Summit goes viral.

   Yep, if you step to the podium at this White House, you're likely to flub up.  Andy Reid did it Monday, right in front of President Biden when he called him President Obama.  It was uncomfortable for Andy but an honest mistake that was just glorious if you ask me, especially since Andy and the Chiefs are all conservatives.

   Bill Self was a guest speaker at a KU golf tourney Monday and looks like a new man.  And of course, he owned the room and dropped a crowd pleasing joke about how he used to look.
   And I love Cheez-It.  Love them.  They've got quite a history in KC and now there is a Cheez-It pop up store.  Will tell you where and dream for the day we can get one at KCI.

   Norma Hunt, the wife of Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt, has died at the age of 85.  Norma was the only woman to attend all 57 Super Bowls and is recognized around the sport as the first lady of football.
   The Chiefs are set to visit the White House and have a photo op with Joe Biden.  This should go well.
   Big men are back in college basketball.  A couple weeks after KU signs a 7-1" center, Mizzou gets Oral Roberts transfer Connor Vanover who is 7'5".
   Robert Kennedy Jr is picking up endorsements from some high profile democrats... is he a threat to Biden's re-election?
   In the first month with no Tucker Carlson, Fox News is in free fall losing millions of viewers.
 

   It's one thing for a person to trip and fall.  It's another thing for a person prone to tripping to have special shoes made to prevent it and then have handlers put him on a stage where there is a sandbag in the walking path.  Joe Biden isn't just frail and lost, his handlers are totally incompetent.  What a joke we are to the world.
   You know the retailers that are struggling for going woke and now there's a name for all the boycotting... it's called the Normal People's Revolt and it's about as politically incorrect as it can be.  And it's beautiful to see and hear.
   The Pentagon has ordered the Air Force to cancel a drag show on a base this month... see... good things are happening.
   The Chiefs dig in  on returning kicks this year despite a new rule and despite the stats that show they shouldn't do it.  But I'm with them and against most in the media who are criticizing it and I'll explain why.
   The SEC is going to play 8 conference games in 2024 and I like that, too.  But it's not what the commissioner wanted and that's a big story.
  The Nuggets win game one of the NBA Finals and Bronny James first college game will be against a local school. 

   Missouri Congressman Mark Alford  voted NO for the new debt ceiling deal in DC with a perfect answer why.  "If Washington likes it, I will vote no," Alford said.  This is wonderful common sense as we are all stuck watching these greedy pols spend more money than they have.  If your spouse acted like this, you'd file for divorce.

   The far left AARP has a new ad campaign trying to get non-liberals to sign up for their service and it seems to me they are just begging for a boycott.
   DeAndre Hopkins and Julio Jones are two of the biggest name wide receivers of the past decade and have made millions and millions of dollars.  Doesn't that make playing for a title in KC a great place to take a pay cut?
   The Denver Nuggets have a terrific KU/MU flare to their quest for a title as he NBA Finals start and Big 12 expansion is just weeks away with more schools on the way. 
 

   It's usually fun when people say things but it's really uncomfortable when you're a fan of somebody that steps in it.  Mizzou coach Eli Drinkwitz and Golf Legend Jack Nicklaus haven't hurt anyone, nor are they risking being cancelled for their comments, but they sure have stepped in it this week.
   Dodgers star Clayton Kershaw has responded to the Sisters of Indulgence inclusion at Pride Night in LA by organizing his own night at the park focusing on faith.
   It's pretty hard to explain why Donald Trump took a shot this week at a former aide that may be more popular with his voters than he is.   
   And a pair of conservative rappers in Florida have released a song called "Boycott Target" and it replaces Taylor Swift at number one.  The video is eye popping and was shot at a real Target store.
 

   With the silly news former governor Chris Christie has a super pac and will be entering the GOP race for president, it's obvious the field is too crowded.  The people running for fame or fortune, or in Christies case, just to bash Trump, are an embarrassment.
   Ron DeSantis' new law in Florida is keeping minors from attending a furry convention.... we'll tell you what they are doing at this strange thing that makes it adults only.
  Clothing line Lululemon is sponsoring a drag show that will provided makeovers for kids.  It looks like they've learned nothing from Bud Light and Target.
   A pair of Royals pitchers are nearly perfect against the Cardinals, Vegas odds show Tom Brady may play again and a couple golfers have really bad weeks.

   What everyone seemed to hear about but nobody reported, Bill Self had an aortic valve replacement surgery last year, long before his heart related issues during the Big 12 Tourney in March.  There's plenty of reasons Self wanted to keep this quiet for so long, the most obvious being it benefited his team.  This man in crazy competitive.

   Day one was so rough for Ron DeSantis he's already announced his "Campaign Kickoff" will be next week in Iowa.  It was only one day, but his reboot will matter.  People are watching him early and it hasn't been good.
   We've got a much better reason to boycott Target than their pride sections... it's their official response to what's going on.  Words matter and Target is clearly not interested in half of Americans shopping at their stores.
   After the Bud Light debacle, the parent company is offering a rebate that if you're a smart shopper, it equals free beer.  And not just Bud Light, their other brands, too.
   Andy Reid commented about the NFL's new kickoff fair catch rule matching the college game and says if this league doesn't watch out, it will soon be flag football.  Meanwhile, his star QB politely isn't commenting about his brother's legal troubles.
   And KSU Football coach  Chris Klieman strolled into KC for a Catbacker event with a new contract, the Chiefs top draft pick and a Big 12 title ring.  He's also flush with quarterbacks.  Then, he dropped one of the best quotes of the year.  We'll tell you what he said.
