It's election day and we're already hearing about a "red mirage" by ABC News as they expect it to take days "or even weeks" to count all the early votes. What? Shouldn't early votes be the first counted?
I'll share a couple personal stories about why I love voting and how it began.
Donald Trump announces he will have a big announcement next Tuesday, the 15th. I think we know what that means.
Chiefs owner Clark Hunt says the Chiefs were in compliance with NFL rules when Britt Reid got drunk at work. Good for him, but it doesn't answer the question why they felt compelled to pay the family of Ariel Young millions of dollars.
College basketball started Monday night... we'll talk about a couple players to watch.
And Kate Upton is having her best week ever with hubby Justin Verlander winning the World Series... in the process... she's making Giselle Bundchen look pretty bad.

It's the football feast as the Chiefs set a couple NFL records Sunday night against the Titans. It was never easy and took another Mahomes miracle, but KC moves to 6-2 and tied for the best record in the AFC. Stan Weber was amazed, as we all were, and here's here to break it down.
Then it gets a little chippy as I disagree with Stan about the quarterback situation at K-State.
KU is bowl bound after beating down OSU and Mizzou suffers yet another loss because a a totally whacky play.

The Kansas Jayhawks are going to a bowl game for the first time since 2008, as they beat up on Oklahoma State. K-State is now on the outside looking in for a Big 12 championship game appearance as they lose to Texas. Mizzou drops another close one and their chances of getting to a bowl game are slim to none.

It's a ton of sports on this episode starting with the Chiefs opponent Sunday night. Titans QB Travis Tannehill did not practice Thursday but I'd be surprised if he doesn't start. His Titans are one of the most confusing teams in the NFL. One computer has them as the 6th best team while another has them in the bottom ten. We try to solve this puzzle.
KSU, KU and MU are all at home this Saturday with games they can win... and all seem to be getting healthier. The biggest stakes are in Manhattan where K-State can take a huge step toward a Big 12 Title game appearance.
KU won it's exhibition game Thursday night and then Bill Self spent a few minutes after the game talking about his suspension. And it was uncomfortable. He admitted and conceded nothing and said he was in on the decision making process for the suspension. It just gets stranger as he referred to the cheating scandal as something that "went down."
Matt Quatraro is introduced as the new manager of the Royals as they are moving things in a whole new direction and Lee Sterling of www.paramountsports.com is here with his football point spread picks.

We attended the event with Missouri 4th district candidate Mark Alford and he was bursting like a little kid telling the story of President Trump calling him Wednesday afternoon. You gotta hear this.
Many of you are trying to "like" my tweets now on Twitter since Elon Musk has taken over and you're getting a disturbing pop up on your screen. Apparently KKHI is a potentially harmful site.
Fed Chairman Jerome Powell raised interest rates again and in the middle of his announcement, did a 180 to keep the stock market from going up. It seems to me these announcements should be made in press releases on a piece of paper.
Bill Self is suspended by KU for the first four games of the season, another admission the basketball program has been caught cheating. This is his second suspension this year and the NCAA hasn't even chimed in with their punishment yet.
And the Chiefs are getting healthier. We'll talk about the Titans game and who's going to be on the field that hasn't been.

With no video, no motive and no real information on why an illegal alien, drug addicted, BLM, Pride Flag waving lunatic broke into Pelosi's house in a sanctuary city... it couldn't get stranger, right? Wrong. Now David DePape's own defense attorney seems to be on the side of the Pelosi's. You have to hear what this lawyer said to media and the signal it sent.
You can't get lower than zero but the Star has hit that mark again, this time against Mark Alford. The former tv anchor is about to win the Missouri 4th congressional seat with ease so the Star decides to write a hit piece on how difficult it was for "former employees" at Fox 4 to work with the anchor. This story reads like it should be in the Babylon Bee.
The Cook Political report has moved ten more races to the right but Kansas District 3 and the Kansas Governor's race are not among them.
In sports, everyone knows the Houston Astros cheated to win the World Series a few year ago. Now, it's Philadelphia, within the rules, that noticed Houston's game three starter tipping his pitches. So funny. Five homers later the Phils had a 7-0 win.
And Kansas State has a HUGE game against Texas Saturday night in Manhattan and coach Chris Klieman is staying mum on which quarterback he's using. Normally, two quarterbacks is a sign you aren't good enough. In this case, Klieman could use them like chess pieces to win the Big 12.

It’s Over: Britt Reid Gets Three Years in Prison
Tuesday Nov 01, 2022
Tuesday Nov 01, 2022
Former Chiefs coach Britt Reid was sentenced to three years in prison after accepting a plea deal for nearly killing a five year old girl while driving drunk. It's over, as Reid went straight from the courtroom to jail. As Dan Wetzel of Yahoo Sports wrote, Reid was a ticking time bomb in Kansas City that went off 20 months ago.
But the drama continued to the very last moment as little Ariel Young appeared in the room for the sentencing and Britt Reid spoke to her during the proceedings. Afterwards, the family is reportedly "outraged" at the sentence despite the fact they settled with the Chiefs for millions of dollars months ago. This is a complex story. It's a tragic story for everyone involved. It should never have happened. How a known addict like Britt Reid was drinking at work is simply beyond belief. This podcast was originally for Patrons only but it's too emotional to do more than once. So we decided to share it with all of you.

Big 12 Scores Mega TV Deal, Ryan Lefebvre on Royals New Manager Matt Quatraro
Tuesday Nov 01, 2022
Tuesday Nov 01, 2022
While others thought the sky was falling in on the Big 12 Conference, I've been steadfast in my belief this league would not only continue, but thrive. It's all about the time zones and competitive balance and the Big 12 has plenty of both. Now it's led to a 73% increase for the league in its new tv deals with ESPN and Fox.
Then, Ryan Lefebvre joins us to share his thoughts on the direction the Royals are going with Matt Quatraro as their new manager and what other changes could be coming. The Royals say they want to be more "transactional" and Ryan shares what he thinks that may look like.

KKHI Convo: Mark Alford Rolling in Missouri 4th
Monday Oct 31, 2022
Monday Oct 31, 2022
Former Fox 4 anchor and host Mark Alford left the media to make a difference and run for Congress, now he's a week away from closing the deal.
This is a wonderful conversation with a true conservative that loves the people in his district, understands them and knows how to deliver a winning message. This is not flipping a seat so we can't really call Missouri's 4th part of the red wave, but Mark says it's that wave is coming in all parts of the country.
If you'd like to meet Mark, he will be at Mojito's Restaurant in Raymore Wednesday night, November 2 at 6:00pm with Pete Mundo of KCMO Radio. It will be another great event, maybe we will see you there.

In our football feast, Stan Weber joins us to talk about the historic 48-0 win for K-State over Oklahoma State. Stan explains to us it's the biggest margin of victory in the history of college football by a lower ranked team over a higher ranked team. The Cats were that good.
Also, Mizzou has completely turned it's season around with a 23-10 win at South Carolina. The defense is real, there's a non con game remaining and home games with Kentucky and Arkansas. A bowl game is just sitting there for the Tigers to pounce on.
And a strange week in the NFL as the Chiefs didn't play and there was only one game with two teams with winning records. Stan breaks down the playoff chase in each conference as we discuss the Chiefs got absolutely zero help in the AFC with all the best teams winning.
