Kevin Kietzman Has Issues

   The Kentucky Wildcats are embarrassed on day one of the NCAA Tournament and it brings a smile to so many faces.  KU, on the other hand, took it's game seriously and raced to a 28 point halftime lead.  The poetry of all this?  Well, it was a loss to Kentucky that had some people thinking KU had no chance to win the title. That all blew up Thursday night.
   The AFC West continues to get better and better as the Raiders pull off the second biggest blockbuster trade of the offseason.  This is about to get really hard for KC.
   Does anyone else imagine a phone call between Biden and China's Xi is a complete joke?  Can you imagine how little good that call will do or what a farce it must sound like?
   And the media and big tech clearly committed a fraud during the election by denying or ignoring the Hunter Biden laptop story.  Admitting that it's real now is not some move of journalistic integrity.  They already blew it.

   The always nostalgic Kansas City Royals have signed pitcher Zack Greinke, a move we called here three weeks ago.  They overpaid, but who cares.  I see good in this but I also see something so typically Royal it gives me pause.
   March Madness is underway for real on St. Paddy's Day!  We talk about faves, trends and KU's fortunes.
   Kansas Senator Roger Marshall is clearly doing a great job as he's become a huge target of the left.  What's their latest beef?  They're bent out of shape that Marshall gave a Senate tour to truckers in DC that are protesting.  You won't believe what his fellow colleagues did to him.
   The teachers union had three gaffes on Twitter this week and it's leading many to jump on board that leader Randi Weingarten needs to be fired.
  And famed KC bbq joint Arthur Bryant's has put a sign up on their door that they are embarrassed by the price they are charging for brisket and they're blaming it on Biden.  Is a "Let's go Brandon" sign next?
 
 

   It's well known here how much I love long summer evenings, now we get the shocker that the Senate votes unanimous to keep us on Daylight Time 365 days a year.  Count me in!
   There's a battle between developers for the Country Club Plaza.  As retail craters, it's time to rethink our local treasure and make sure the fading Plaza remains glorious for generations to come.
   Officials in Independence and Overland Park say there's a new crime taking place in their communities.  Stealing gas.  You won't believe how people are doing it.
   KU gets an opponent for Thursday night, it's Texas Southern.  But the real game to watch Thursday is San Diego State and Creighton as one of them will be ready to go Saturday.

   Are you having a hard time sorting through all the different reports about the war in Ukraine?  You have to admit, many of these stories contradict each other and it has me wondering about the real agenda.  On the heels of all the  Covid and Racism stories from U.S. media, should we just believe everything they're telling us now?
   Tyrann Mathieu is a free agent and the Chiefs have signed Justin Reid to replace him.  It was a nice run, but the Chiefs need somebody younger, hungrier and more likely to actually hit somebody.
   At the University of Texas, the baseball team has a drinking problem.  You won't believe what their catcher did during a game.
   And Travis Kelce's brother Jason sings the Star Spangled Banner at an NBA game in Philly.  He's not Pavoratti, but we should all be proud of him for his performance.

   The bracket is out and we had a blast watching the selection show with KKHI Patrons Sunday at Tanners in Shawnee.  Funny, nobody complained about any seedings and everyone was smiling and laughing.  Conservatives are just cool that way.
   Tom Brady is back and we all seem a bit annoyed.  If you've ever second guessed the man, you've been wrong.  But does he really have the desire to do this after checking out?
  Baseball is back and the Royals have a handful of workouts before their first spring training game Friday against the Rangers.
   And Senator Rand Paul has a really simple, but brilliant, piece of legislation this week to replace Anthony Fauci's position with three different jobs that are nominated by the President and approved by the Senate.  How could anyone disagree with his plan?

   The Royals are back and the full 162 games start on April 8.  We always knew this was possible and despite all the lies, most are just happy it's worked out.
   Bill Self's Jayhawks just destroy West Virginia to start their Big 12 Tourney and then when asked about Bruce Weber's comments about cheaters, Self took the high road.  I'll fill in the blanks and tell you what happened behind the scenes.
   Actor Jussie Smollett is sentenced to 150 days in jail for faking a race crime and most people are focusing on how he sort of freaked out shouting he's not suicidal as he left the courtroom.  That deserves the headline, for sure.  But what the sentencing means is what's really important.
   Vegas has new Super Bowl odds out after the Russell Wilson trade to Denver and all the new contracts signed this week.  Wait until you hear how the AFC West fares in these rankings.
   And some crazy people at some scientific academy of sleep are actually in front of Congress trying to get rid of Daylight Savings Time because they say it kills people.  Oh, brother.

   Wow, we didn't see this coming.  Bruce Weber likely coached his last game at Kansas State Wednesday night and gave a tearful speech on camera on his faith, his love for KSU and his utter disdain for programs like KU that get caught cheating.  I mean, wow.  You been wondering about his freaky long hair?  He tells us why.  You can't make this up.
  When it's official that Weber is out, they'd better go big.  If AD Gene Taylor doesn't have the money to buy out Illinois coach Brad Underwood, a K-State grad, he may not want to even do this at all.  
   A foreign policy expert at the Heritage Foundation has a solution to getting Russia out of Ukraine and it's bold.  But it doesn't involve the U.S. fighting or lobbing nukes.  We'll tell you what it is.
   And UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell is being mocked by liberals.  Why?  Well, he speaks the truth and represents most Americans and you know how threatening that is to the Uniparty.

   The Denver Broncos have pulled off the biggest trade in the NFL since 1989 and it brings Russell Wilson into the fold to play the Chiefs twice a year.  This is a tectonic shift in the AFC West.
   The Big 12 Tournament is set to start in KC and this one is in real trouble.  The groundhogs believe 4-6 inches of snow is about to hit the Power and Light district Thursday.  Ouch.
   WNBA star Britney Griner has been detained in Russia for allegedly smuggling drugs into the country.  If true, and convicted, it could be ten years in prison.  The left's reaction to this is uniquely "woke American" and threatens to become a huge problem for the United States.
   And Joe Biden, at an event with the VA in Texas, made the most racist joke you've ever hear from a president.  How does he get away with this stuff?
 

   You've probably read a lot about 2020 election fraud in Georgia, Arizona, Pennsylvania and several other swing states.  But what have you learned about what happened right in your own backyard?
   Do you believe Joe Biden was the first Democrat to win Johnson County, KS since 1916?  Or that 99% of eligible voters were registered?   There are so many shocking abnormalities that one private Johnson County resident has made it his mission for over a year to convince people in charge that something is terribly wrong with the way we vote.  
   Thad Snider was so impressive with his presentation the the Kansas Senate he got a standing ovation.  Now he's here to tell the story of what he says happened with mail in voting and drop boxes in a county that's overwhelmingly conservative. 

   The 18 year old that took a gun to Olathe East and shot a police officer and Athletic Director had a serious, prior criminal conviction.  So why was he even allowed in school, and how in the world was he allowed to participate in sports?
   KU wins the Big 12 on the back of big David McCormack.  It's time for KU fans to see what they have in the big guy that other teams don't.
